Getting to South East Cape Tasmania

Cockle Creek is about 140km south of Hobart. The drive time is usually stated as 2 hours but this doesn’t take the 22km gravel road at the end into account. If driving in the winter the roads can also be icy and the trip longer.

Hobart to Port Huon

From Hobart take the A6 highway through Huonville to Port Huon.  2km after the Port Huon Post Office you have a choice to continue on the A6 through Geeveston and grab a coffe or turn left onto Scott’s Road.  Scott’s road is the less traveled and slightly shorter route.
